Thanksgiving Cocktail | Boozy Apple Cider

What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving then with a sweet little cocktail!

Being a huge fan of margaritas and apple cider I decided to mix them together while adding a bit of spunk to it! This recipe is super easy and will leave you feeling refreshed and maybe a bit loopy (in a good way, I promise). Please note that if you are not of legal age to drink or just not a fan of alcohol I will post the virgin recipe below as well.

What you'll need:

  1. Your favorite bottle of tequila, I go for the cheapest bottle at Meijer.
  2. Controy (a Mexican orange liquor) | Feel free to use your favorite orange liquor!
  3. Apple Cider
  4. 1 Apple
  5. Cinnamon
  6. Cane Sugar
  7. 1 Orange (or Lemon)
  8. You're favorite boozy glass!

Let's mix it up!

  1. On a plate mix the cinnamon and cane sugar together. Taking a slice of orange or lemon, whichever your taste buds prefer, slide your slice on the rim of your glass, then dip your glass into your cinnamon and can sugar mixture. You want to make sure the rim is fully covered and looks like candy!
  2. Taking 1 ounce of your favorite tequila, mixing in 5 ounces of apple cider, ice, and a pinch of cinnamon, shake and mix!
  3. Pour the mixture into your favorite glass, add a few slices of apples and enjoy!

Virgin Version:

Follow the same above steps minus the alcohol.

Add the cinnamon sugar mixture to the rim. Then stir up some warm cider (I prefer warm cider when no alcohol is added), with a small amount of orange juice and a pinch of cinnamon. Lastly, add some slices of apples and enjoy!

Feel free to tweak this recipe to your own taste.

Cheers!
